The New South Wales town of Wellington is set to reap the benefits of a gas-fired power station, ERM Power NSW Director Andy Pittlik said during a visit to the proposed site of the company’s proposed project site.
Plans are well advanced for the establishment of a 640 MW open-cycle gas-fired power station which Mr Pittlik described as “world class”.
“The end result will be very positive,” Mr Pittlik said.
The project, due to begin construction in 2011, will create 400 jobs during construction and 10 permanent jobs once operational.
