Snowy Hydro has lodged plans for its proposed Bannaby Power Station, which includes a 23–29 km gas pipeline, to the New South Wales Department of Planning and Infrastructure.
The proposed power station will be located in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, approximately 150 km southwest of Sydney and 5 km east of Bannaby.

The project, which aims to meet NSW’s growing energy requirements, involves the construction and operation of an approximately 600 megawatt gas-fired power station and associated infrastructure, including gas supply and electricity transmission connections.
