Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation has received orders for three compressor trains and a power generation system for Shell’s Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Project, located approximately 200 km offshore the coast of Western Australia.
The 488 m long, 74 m wide Shell Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Project will be the largest floating offshore facility in the world, with a production capacity of 5.3 MMt/a of liquids and 3.6 MMt/a of LNG.

It will allow for stranded gas resources, previously inaccessible due to remoteness from land or pipelines, to be accessed.
