The association will establish a Board of Directors, which will focus on organisational governance, and a General Assembly, which will set the strategic direction for the association.

During the meetings, members voted to appoint Gabriele Gozzi, NGV System Italia representative, as the new IANGV Chairman.

Mr Gozzi said “The industry is expecting rapid growth in the next ten years so the association needs to present itself as a dynamic organisation, ready to respond to the industry’s needs. With the new structure in place we now have that.”

In addition, restrictions on how industry members can join the association have been removed. The IANGV has also changed rules in order to encourage membership of the regional and national natural gas vehicle associations around the world.

The IANGV will introduce a brand name for the organisation, NGV Global, which it feels better encompasses the association’s mandate.
