Situated in approximately 344 metres of water, the Kitan field is located in the Joint Petroleum Development Area, jointly administered by East Timor and Australia, approximately 170 kilometres off the East Timor coast and 500 km off the Australian coast.
The vessel will be provided complete with mooring services, with Bluewater also providing logistics and ancillary services.
The LoA remains subject to Eni obtaining approval for the contract from its joint venture partners and from the East Timorese Government.
The contract has a minimum term of five years after start of production and can be extended by up to five years.

Eni serves as the operator of the field and holds a 40 per cent interest, Inpex Timor Sea holds a 35 per cent interest and Talisman Energy holds the remaining 25 per cent interest.
